Ever feel like you’re trapped inside the spin cycle of a washing machine?
Your life’s just one big bustling ball of buzzing bullshit… and you’re hanging on by your fingernails?
You don’t know what to do… what to feel… what to focus on…
and what to ignore?
And you’re drowning in an ocean of media‑fueled chaos?
Sure you do. We all do.
So, every once in a while you need to hit the reset button…
and look at the BIG PICTURE.
This quote was on the wall of Mother Theresa’s
HIV/AIDS/Leprosy/Tuberculosis clinic in Calcutta.
Surrounded by pain and suffering and desolation… this philosophy helped Mother T and her staff survive and do amazing things.
And it does a brilliant job of helping the rest of us (the super-lucky ones compared with most of the world) cut through the clutter… and focus on the important things in life.
So, take a break from worrying about bills and retirement and college funds and job security and health‑care costs… take a big, deep breath… and look at the things that really matter.
The things you’ll think about on your deathbed.
Hug your kids, kiss your spouse, play with your pet, marvel at the beautiful sunset… and ignore the other stuff that DOESN’T MATTER.
Don’t get swept along by the current.
Chart your own course.
Swim your race… your way.
And do it with a big smile on your face… because you’re in charge.
You can’t predict the future.
It might be bright. It might be crappy. You don’t know.
So, why not assume it’ll be great?
After all, that’s the most likely outcome for people like us — the lucky ones.
According to motivational experts, the universe gives you what you dwell on.
Focus on problems, and that’s what you’ll get.
Focus on good things…
But don’t just wish and hope. Do something to improve your situation.
Something for yourself. And your loved ones.
Money doesn’t buy happiness, but it can sure remove stuff you don’t want.
And, after you’ve hit the reset button… taken your big breath… kissed and hugged everybody important in your life… start charting your course towards things that are important to YOU.
Like freedom and respect and work/play options.
They require more money… but you can handle that too.
Just checkout something like this… and assume your life will change for the better… soon.
That’s the most likely outcome. For lucky people like us.
